So this is the start of my actual blog. As I said before my blog is about bullying. The very first type of bullying I want to talk about is over the internet. People don't really ever think anything about it , but do any of you know what you are doing? A lot of people think words will never hurt , but in some cases words can take someones life from them. Does anyone remember when that girl Amber Todd was all over Facebook? Well I do, and do you know why? I remember seeing her story (her note card video) and it just made me so sad. This girl story was about her life. When she was about 14 I believe, she made a huge mistake on going online to video chat rooms. She did a few inappropriate things on the internet to impress and older boy. When the boy and herself were no longer "together" he took the pictures he had screen shotted of her and sent them to everyone around the school. She felt so bad, he promised her that the pictures wouldn't leave his sight.
The boy got a new girlfriend and her and her friends tried to almost beat this poor girl to death. She tried several times to kill herself and when the story came out she was already dead. This is what made me so mad about the world we live in today. This girl went in and out of the hospital and got beat up by several people at a time and no one wanted to step in and say anything. This girl went through so much and just because of PEOPLE AT HER HIGH SCHOOLS WORDS and THEIR ACTIONS caused her to want her to give up her own life. No student in any country should ever have to feel like that.
If i had ever know this girl I wouldn't try to ridicule her for her actions as an stupid mistakes online. I really wish someone was there to help and reach out to this girl. You know maybe if more people in the world would pay attention to the poor girl crying in the corner then maybe she would still be her today. She would still be walking down the hallways at her school and maybe someone would notice how hurt this poor girl was. I really wish there was something I could have done for this girl. I can't help her but maybe i can help others like her.
I would like to share her video with everyone.
The video is up at the top to the right. Thank you :)

Intro about my Blog
Hey guys! My name is Deanna Wilbur and I am currently a senior at Princeton High School. I have several interest and I do a lot of things. I work two jobs one is a small cafe in Sharonville, OH and the other is Once Upon a Child. I think I do very well on balancing two jobs and school. I am actively involved in a lot of different clubs and activities in my school. I help out with HOPE Club and I just started doing Mock Trial this year. I love to read and i love to write. One thing i really want to do in life is make a difference in the world in some way, shape, or form. No matter how I do so, my biggest goal in life to to change something in a drastic way.
My English assignment for the semester is to begin a blog about anything I want. When we first got the assignment my biggest problem was deciding was what to write my blog about. I have to write about the same topic for about 18 weeks. I had so many things I wanted to write about, but for some reason my mind drew a complete blank. I spent awhile trying to think of all the things I wanted or could write about, but my brain come up with nothing. Recently I was writing a poem about bullying for my poetry class. Then it hit me, I should write about bullying, because I see it happen everyday. I see people get bullied everyday in different ways, but I want to bring it to everyone's attention.
My goal for this blog is to show how bullying affects peoples lives everyday. Everyone everywhere deserves to feel beautiful. This is one step to my road of helping make a difference in this world. I may not be able to do that much but I sure will try. Stories I share on this blog are things I see everyday at school, work, and anywhere else I go throughout the day. Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy the ride! :)
