So this is the start of my actual blog. As I said before my blog is about bullying. The very first type of bullying I want to talk about is over the internet. People don't really ever think anything about it , but do any of you know what you are doing? A lot of people think words will never hurt , but in some cases words can take someones life from them. Does anyone remember when that girl Amber Todd was all over Facebook? Well I do, and do you know why? I remember seeing her story (her note card video) and it just made me so sad. This girl story was about her life. When she was about 14 I believe, she made a huge mistake on going online to video chat rooms. She did a few inappropriate things on the internet to impress and older boy. When the boy and herself were no longer "together" he took the pictures he had screen shotted of her and sent them to everyone around the school. She felt so bad, he promised her that the pictures wouldn't leave his sight.
The boy got a new girlfriend and her and her friends tried to almost beat this poor girl to death. She tried several times to kill herself and when the story came out she was already dead. This is what made me so mad about the world we live in today. This girl went in and out of the hospital and got beat up by several people at a time and no one wanted to step in and say anything. This girl went through so much and just because of PEOPLE AT HER HIGH SCHOOLS WORDS and THEIR ACTIONS caused her to want her to give up her own life. No student in any country should ever have to feel like that.
If i had ever know this girl I wouldn't try to ridicule her for her actions as an stupid mistakes online. I really wish someone was there to help and reach out to this girl. You know maybe if more people in the world would pay attention to the poor girl crying in the corner then maybe she would still be her today. She would still be walking down the hallways at her school and maybe someone would notice how hurt this poor girl was. I really wish there was something I could have done for this girl. I can't help her but maybe i can help others like her.

I would like to share her video with everyone.
The video is up at the top to the right. Thank you :)

  1. Deanna this was very touching. I remember seeing her video and it made me cry. I also would have wished to be there for her when she needed someone. I can't believe people were so cruel to her. It broke my heart to see that she didn't have much support from her own family at times, and her friends backed down on her. I'm so looking forward to all the things you have to say on the subject. You should also try giving advice on how not to be a bully or better yet a cyber bully since we are all using the internet and have blogs! Good Luck! :)

  2. Deanna, I know if cyber bullying existed when I was in middle school, I would be a much different person. I was teased at school for my appearance and my last name (Gross) but it never followed me home. I think that cyber bullies are cowards and too immature to realize the life long impact they have on people. I think you should show people examples of simple postings that they think are innocent but that can truly hurt someone emotionally.

  3. I really like this, and I'm glad that u r taking a stance for bullying. A lot of people suffer from it, but they shouldn't be afraid to tell someone. Ur not weak for seeking help, or a "tattle tail" I think the hardest thing for people Getting bullied to do is ask for help. I was bullied once and the only thing I wanted to do was bring the bulky down , so I told every principle an counselor. Nobody hurts my feelings , and is rude to me an gets away with it.
